  • Employment Type: Full-Time
  • Travel: Frequent local and regional travel within New York metropolitan area (approximately 50–75%); occasional overnight travel

POSITION SUMMARY The Field Clinical Specialist (CS) is the primary clinical partner for hospitals and clinics adopting the Biobeat 24-hour diagnostic sensor within the New York market. Biobeat is a FDA-cleared novel, patch-worn cuffless ambulatory monitoring technology directed toward the diagnosis and treatment of hypertension.

Working closely with cardiology and nephrology care teams, the CS drives confident, sustained clinical use by training staff, troubleshooting in real time, and embedding the device into everyday patient care workflows.

This is a hands-on, patient- and provider-facing role. Success requires clinical credibility, comfort operating independently in live care settings — outpatient clinics, dialysis centers, and hospital units alike — and the ability to turn first-time users into confident, everyday users.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Clinical Training & Onboarding

  • Train physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and support staff on proper sensor placement, device operation, and interpretation of continuous monitoring data.
  • Design site-specific workflows for sensor application, patient education, and data review that fit naturally into existing clinic or hospital operations.
  • Lead hands-on go-live support for new site launches and provider onboarding, ensuring a smooth first experience.

Clinical Adoption & Ongoing Support

  • Act as the go-to resource for clinical questions, troubleshooting, and best-practice guidance across assigned accounts in New York metropolitan area.
  • Round regularly at cardiology and nephrology sites to reinforce correct use, resolve friction points, and sustain engagement.
  • Apply and remove sensors directly with patients as needed, ensuring proper fit, signal quality, and comfort.
  • Track utilization at each account and build targeted action plans wherever adoption lags.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Align with Sales, Clinical Education, and Customer Success on account strategy and growth opportunities.
  • Relay clinical feedback and product performance insights to Product and Quality teams to inform continuous improvement.
  • Support outcomes tracking and case study data collection to build clinical evidence, as needed.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate, timely records of training sessions and site visits within the CRM.
  • Ensure every clinical interaction complies with HIPAA and institutional policy.
  • Stay current on Biobeat product updates and evolving monitoring guidelines in cardiology and nephrology.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a health sciences field (Nursing, Exercise Physiology, Biomedical Engineering, or related) or equivalent clinical experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in a clinical, medical device, or healthcare technology support role.
  • Solid understanding of vital signs monitoring and physiologic data — heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure trends, and related parameters.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train diverse clinical audiences confidently.
  • Comfortable working independently in a field-based role with significant local travel within New York metropolitan area.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and standard productivity tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred

  • Active nursing license (RN/LPN) or direct patient care experience in a clinical setting.
  • Experience in cardiology, nephrology, dialysis, or remote patient monitoring (RPM) settings.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, spoken and written.
  • Prior experience with wearable sensors or continuous monitoring technologies.
  • Familiarity with hospital credentialing and vendor access processes.

CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Clinical credibility and bedside manner
  • Adult-learning and training facilitation
  • Real-time problem-solving in live clinical settings
  • Relationship management with physicians and nursing staff
  • Adaptability across outpatient, inpatient, and dialysis environments

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout clinical environments for extended periods.
  • Ability to travel frequently by car and occasionally by air within the New York metropolitan area.
  • Flexibility to accommodate clinic and hospital schedules, including occasional early mornings or evenings.
